The Rainier Station was built in 1975. It houses one engine, a 65 foot telesquirt, two advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, a water tender and a support vehicle. This station also stores a boat for the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. The Rainier Station is staffed by a company officer (Lieutenant or Captain) and three firefighters/paramedics on a 24/7 basis. Responses to incidents from this station are supplemented by volunteer firefighters.
